The Town of Cary Land Development Code VIC requires Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows (5.5 or better) to enable all its features. To display multimedia elements, Quicktime™ is required and your computer’s sound capabilities must be enabled.
To Install Quicktime™ 6.0:
1. Download the Quicktime Installer by clicking here. (link opens in a new window)
2. Exit your browser
3. Run the Quicktime installer and follow the installer directions.
4. Open your browser and return to the Town of Cary Land Development Code introduction page. Please note that you do not have to upgrade to Quicktime Pro to display movies in VIC.
Note that the contents of this web site will be easiest to view if you adjust your display (monitor) “Screen Area” setting to 1024 x 768.
After you have verified that QuickTime is installed, please take a few moments to review the remaining instructions in the "Using VIC" section before you begin. Use the “Next” button at the top of this page to continue with the Using VIC instructions. The next section explains the difference between “VIC buttons vs. Browser buttons.”
