Similar to most browser-based displays, VIC uses colors to clarify what the different hyperlinks signify:
• Pop Ups such as defined terms display in blue letters,
• green text indicates jumps to another location within the code
• red-colored text means the illustrated commentary will be displayed.
To return to the Code section you were viewing prior to the jump, simply click on Internet Explorer’s back button.
NOTE: If all text links appear in the same color, or different font
styles are being displayed, you need to configure Internet Explorer to
use the colors and fonts supplied by the document instead of IE’s default
color and style:
In Microsoft Explorer, choose “Internet Options” from the Tools
menu. In the “General” tab, select the “colors” button (lower left)
and make sure that the box “Use Windows colors” is NOT checked. Also
in the “General” tab, select the “accessibility” button (lower right) and
make sure that none of the boxes there are checked (these relate to font/
color formatting and style sheets). Then in the “Advanced” tab (to
far right of internet options window) scroll to “Underline Links” and
select either “never” or “hover.”
> When you are finished with this section -- Click the “Next” button at the top of the page to continue with the Using VIC instructions. The next section is “View Slide-shows/ Video-clips.”
